Welcome to Taroona Scout Group

Sections

Joeys are the youngest section in Scouts Australia. Boys and girls aged 6-8 get together every Monday between 6:30 and 7:30pm to play games, craft, stories and adventure. A wonderful introduction to the exciting world of Scouting!

Cubs are an excellent opportunity for boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 11 to form friendships, plays games, learn about safety in the home & bush, tests their physical skills and the traditional scouting skills of knotting, mapping, using a compass, and hiking. Cubs are also given the opportunity to work towards achievement badges if they wish.

All children aged 11 to 14 are welcome at Scouts! Taroona Scouts meet every Tuesday night between 6:00 – 8:00pm and spend their time together engaged in activities like bushwalking, navigation, games, learning survival techniques, pioneering (building things with knots), cooking over fire , camping and all those fun things that teach independence, collaboration and leadership skills.

Venturers are the oldest age group at Taroona, catering to teenagers between 14 and 18 years of age. Venturers are the mostly self-led, adult supported group and spend their time kayaking, bush walking, camping and planning their own adventures.
